You must have good hands and an aptitude for designing and constructing (and sometimes destructing) things, and be prepared to work with animals.
You may have any degree or none, but must have multi-disciplinary (biology, computer science, engineering, math, neuroscience, psychology) education at an academic level – or the ability and motivation to acquire one.
Courses required are listed below, and can be taken either previously or in parallel to the work in the lab. The specific courses mentioned are taught at TAU; equivalent courses are taught in most universities.
